Description

Indication:(Atorvastatin) Lowers cholesterol and triglycerides; reduces risk of heart attack and stroke. Dose & administration: 10–80 mg once daily as prescribed, with or without food. Preferably taken at night. Side effects: headache, stomach upset, or muscle pain. Stop and consult your doctor if you develop persistent or unexplained muscle pain, weakness, yellowing of skin/eyes, or dark urine. Precautions: avoid alcohol. Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, diabetes, or if you take antibiotics, antifungals, or antivirals (possible interactions). Contraindications: pregnancy and breastfeeding.
