CERAZETTE (Desogestrel) is a progestogen-only contraceptive pill that prevents pregnancy primarily by inhibiting ovulation, making it a suitable choice for women sensitive to estrogen. For effective protection, take one tablet daily at the same time without interruption; if a dose is missed by more than 12 hours, its efficacy decreases and a backup contraceptive method is required for 7 days. While generally safe, patients with diabetes or hypertension should be monitored closely, and users should consult a doctor if they experience depressed mood, sudden abdominal pain (to rule out ectopic pregnancy), or significant blood pressure changes.
