Description

Fenistil gel is used to treat allergy symptoms as well as itching associated with skin reactions, hives and insect bites. How to use Adults and children over 2 years of age: Apply a thin layer of Fenistil 2 to 4 times to the areas to be treated, and massage gently. Avoid prolonged exposure of treated skin areas to intense sunlight. Consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve within 7 days. In infants and young children, do not use on large areas of skin, especially if they are exposed or inflamed. In children under 2 years of age: Fenistil gel can only be used with a prescription Warnings and precautions When using this product you may experience: dry skin, burning skin, itchy rash In cases of severe itching or extensive lesions, topical use of dimetindene maleate should be supplemented by systemic treatment with the oral form of dimetindene maleate. Prolonged exposure to sunlight should be avoided on intensively treated areas. In infants and young children, avoid use on large areas of skin, especially if exposed or inflamed. Dimetindene Maleate Gel contains: - Propylene glycol which may cause mild local skin irritation. - Benzalkonium chloride is an irritant that may cause skin reactions. Do not give this product to children under 2 years of age without a prescription. Side Effects Possible side effects : Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop a rash; itching; red, blistered, or peeling skin; tightness in the chest or throat; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency with which these side effects occur is not known. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the package. Store below 30°C.
