Finallerg for Children is a second-generation antihistamine that reduces the body's natural production of histamine, cetirizine. Finallerg is used to treat cold or allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, or runny nose. Cetirizine is also used to treat allergic reactions, itching, and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives) and to reduce or eliminate the symptoms of perennial allergic rhinitis and nasal inflammation. Seasonal allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, allergic asthma, systemic urticaria, and atopic dermatitis. How to use When using cetirizine, follow the manufacturer's instructions or your doctor's prescription. Never use it for longer than recommended or in higher quantities. Cetirizine can be taken with or without meals. The tablet should be chewed before swallowing. Oral dosing: Use a dose-measuring cup or spoon instead of a standard tablespoon to measure the liquid medicine (oral solution). Ask your pharmacist for dose-measuring equipment if you don't already have one. If your symptoms get worse, do not improve, or if you also have a fever, call your doctor. If your symptoms get worse, do not improve, or if you also have a fever, call your doctor. If you are allergic to cetirizine or have experienced an adverse reaction to it, you should not take this medicine. Tell your doctor about all your medical problems, including any history of kidney or liver disease, before starting cetirizine. Cetirizine is not expected to harm an unborn child. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while receiving treatment, tell your doctor. Cetirizine may be harmful to a nursing infant if it enters breast milk. Do not use cetirizine if you are breastfeeding without first consulting your doctor. For adults and children six months of age and older with chronic idiopathic urticaria, cetirizine is recommended.
