Hydrophilic methacrylate gel is used to treat a variety of wounds and skin injuries, from acute wounds such as superficial cuts, scrapes and surgical burns to chronic wounds such as ulcers. How to use This medicine is for external use. Use as directed by your doctor. Wash your hands before and after. Clean the wound from impurities. Apply a small amount of gel to the entire wound. Cover the wound with a sterile material and secure it with a bandage or adhesive. Reapply as necessary every 24-48 hours. Repeat if wounds become infected. Warnings and precautions Consult your doctor before use on sensitive areas or infected skin. Side Effects Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop a rash; itching; red, blistered, or peeling skin; tightness in the chest or throat; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency with which these side effects occur is not known.
