Lorahest syrup belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. The product is available in a 100 ml package. Lorahist syrup is used for both adults and children over 2 years of age to relieve symptoms of hay fever such as sneezing, runny nose, and burning, itchy eyes. It can also be used for skin allergies such as rash, itching or urticaria (redness and hives). How to use Use the measuring cup provided. Each scoop is a 5 ml dose. Children 2-12 years old, weighing 30 kg or less: 1 spoon 5 ml Once daily Children from 2-12 years old and weighing more than 30 kg: 2 tsp 5 ml Once daily Adults and children over 12 years old: 2 tsp 5 ml Once daily Warnings and precautions Do not take Lorahest syrup If you or your child are allergic (have had a bad reaction) to loratadine or any of the ingredients in this medicine. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Side Effects Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following side effects: Hair loss Liver problems Heart rhythm disturbances fainting Fatigue Headache Nausea Storage Information Keep out of reach and sight of children. Do not store at a temperature above 30°C. Store in original package to protect from light. Use after opening: Use within 28 days of first opening the package. Drug Interactions r medicines - even those obtained without a prescription, especially: Cimetidine (for stomach upset) Erythromycin (antibiotic) Ketoconazole or fluconazole (for fungal infections) Quinidine (for heart problems) Fluoxetine (for depression) Ingredients Micronized Loratadine, Sucrose, sodium benzoate, propylene glycol, glycerin, citric acid monohydrate, strawberry flavour and purified water.
