Otozole is used to treat folds and fungal infections of the middle and outer ear. The active ingredient in Otozole ear drops is clotrimazole. Clotrimazole belongs to a group of medicines known as imidazoles and is an antifungal that fights the cause behind fungal infections of the skin and ear. How to use If your doctor has prescribed Otozol, follow any instructions he or she may give you. If you buy this medicine without a prescription, follow these instructions carefully: For ear infections, put 2 · 3 drops of Otozol in the ear two or three times daily. Warnings and precautions Don't use: • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to clotrimazole or the other ingredient in Otozol, polyethylene glycol . 044 Side Effects Clotrimazole is unlikely to cause any serious side effects. It can sometimes cause some irritation when initially used, and a few people experience mild allergic reactions (such as redness and itching).
