Description

Panderm is used to relieve redness and itching in skin conditions that are suspected to be or are actually infected. Panderm is available as a cream or ointment and both contain a combination of the following medicines: • Triamcinolone acetonide, an anti-inflammatory drug that works to relieve itching and redness. • Neomycin, an antibacterial drug. • Gramicidin, an antibacterial drug. • Nystatin, a medicine that treats skin infections caused by yeast-like fungi known as Candida. This type of infection is known as candidiasis or thrush. Candida albicans is one of the most common causes of thrush. How to use Panderm should always be used exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you • Apply the ointment or cream to the affected areas. • Apply a thin layer of ointment or cream to the affected area and massage gently. Repeat this two to three times daily. • Wash your hands before and after applying and massaging the medication. • Be careful not to let the medicine come into contact with the eyes. Warnings and precautions Do not use Panderm if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Do not use Panderm if you have any of the following medical conditions: Viral skin infections such as shingles, chickenpox, cold sores, tuberculosis. Do not use Panderm in or around the eyes. Do not use if you have large areas of skin damage or other conditions (such as open wounds or abrasions). Side Effects • A sudden, severe rash or hives. • Increased itching or redness in the skin area surrounding the affected area. • Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat with difficulty breathing • Itching, burning sensation, and dryness • Changes in skin color • Severe fluid retention • Balance and hearing problems • Delayed weight gain and growth • Fluid retention in the face and head accompanied by severe headache (bulging fontanelle) Storage Information Keep out of reach and sight of children. - Store below 30°C. It is best to use it within one month of opening the package. - Panderm should not be used after the expiry date stated on the package and tube. Ingredients Active ingredients: Nystatin 100,000 IU Neomycin (as sulfate) 2.5 mg Gramicidin 0.25 mg Triamcinolone Acetonide 1 mg Inactive ingredients: Cetostearyl alcohol, white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin, cetomacrogol, purified water, methyl and propyl paraben, sodium phosphate and propylene glycol.
