Description

Prohair tablets contain the active ingredient finasteride. This belongs to a group of medicines called alpha-2 reductase inhibitors and is used to treat male pattern hair loss (also known as androgenetic alopecia). Prohair increases hair growth on the scalp and prevents further hair loss in men. Men with mild to moderate, but not complete, hair loss can benefit from using finasteride. Prohair reduces levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the scalp. This helps to reverse the balding process, leading to increased hair growth and preventing further hair loss. How to use Always follow your doctor's instructions for taking Proher tablets exactly as they have been given. The recommended dose is one tablet daily. The tablet can be taken with or without food. Warnings and precautions Allergic (hypersensitive) to finasteride or any of the other ingredients Woman (because this medicine is for men). · Prostate cancer called a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test because finasteride can affect the results of this test.
