Description

SYSTANE* Lubricant Eye Drops contains Polythylene Glycol 400 0.4% and Propylene Glycol 0.3%, which is used to treat dry eye associated with contact lens usage by instilling drops prior to inserting contact lenses and after removal of contact lenses. How to use Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist or nurse has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist or nurse if you are not sure. The recommended dose is : Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed. Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist or nurse has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist or nurse if you are not sure. Only use SYSTANE* Lubricant Eye Drops for dropping in your eye(s). If you are using other eye drop or eye ointment medicines, leave at least 5 minutes between each medicine. Eye ointments should be administered last. After cap is removed, if tamper evident snap collar is loose, remove before using product. If a drop misses your eye, try again. If you use more SYSTANE* Lubricant Eye Drops than you should, rinse it all out with warm water. However, no undesirable effects are to be expected. In case of accidental ingestion, of the contents of one bottle, no undesirable effects are to be expected. Warnings and precautions Do not use SYSTANE* Lubricant Eye Drops If you are allergic to <polyethylene glycol 400> <,> < propylene glycol> or any of the other ingredients of SYSTANE* Lubricant Eye Drops. If you experience persistent eye discomfort, excessive tearing, headache, vision changes or redness of the eye, stop using SYSTANE* Lubricant Eye Drops and consult your eye care professional as the problem could become more serious. Side Effects Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The following side effects have been seen with SYSTANE* Lubricant Eye Drops for which the frequency is not known: Effects in the eye: eye pain, itchy eye, eye irritation, abnormal sensation in eye, redness of the eye, blurred vision. Storage Information Store below 30°C. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging. Discard 4 weeks after first opening. Ingredients It is a sterile solution containing polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, hydroxypropyl guar, boric acid, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, zinc chloride, and POLYQUAD (Polyquaternium-1) 0.001% preservative.
