Description

Takepron 30 mg 14 Capsules contains Lansoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach. It is used to treat acid-related gastrointestinal disorders such as gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and erosive esophagitis. It is also used in combination with antibiotics to eradicate Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection. Active Ingredients: Lansoprazole 30 mg Indications: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) Duodenal ulcer Gastric ulcer Erosive esophagitis Prevention and treatment of NSAID-associated ulcers Eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection (in combination with antibiotics) Pathological hypersecretory conditions such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Dosage: Usually 1 capsule (30 mg) once daily, preferably 30 minutes before meals, or as directed by the physician Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew The dose and duration depend on the medical condition being treated For H. pylori eradication, it is used with appropriate antibiotics as prescribed by the physician. Contraindications & Warnings: Hypersensitivity to lansoprazole or any component of the product Use with caution in patients with severe liver impairment Long-term use may increase the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium levels, osteoporosis, and bone fractures May mask symptoms of gastric cancer; persistent symptoms should be medically evaluated May interact with medications such as warfarin, methotrexate, tacrolimus, and atazanavir.
