Description

Zetex 10 mg contains the active ingredient ezetimibe and is used in conjunction with a therapeutic diet to lower high cholesterol levels. It is used in addition to nutritional therapy in the treatment of: Mixed hyperlipidemia or dyslipidemia in combination with fenofibrate. Familial hypercholesterolemia with atorvastatin or simvastatin. Primary hypercholesterolemia alone or with statins. How to use The recommended dose is one ezetimibe 10 mg tablet taken orally once daily. Take ezetimibe at any time of day. You can take it with or without food. If your doctor prescribes ezetimibe with a statin, you can take both medications at the same time. Warnings and precautions Use this medicine with caution in case of impaired kidney function, and its use should be avoided in people with decreased liver function. It should be avoided for use by children under 10 years of age.
