Seba Heparin Antoinyl Gel is used to treat different types of scars after wound healing. The gel prevents the growth of scar tissue and reduces scars. The gel also reduces redness, swelling and pain (anti-inflammatory). Suitable for use in patients with thick scars that are higher than the skin surface and sometimes a different colour than the surrounding skin and are inhibited by movement, and cosmetically disfiguring scars resulting from surgery, amputation, burn or accident. Suitable for contractures, such as Dupuytren's contracture (constantly flexing the fingers) and traumatic tendon contractures, as well as atrophic scars (scars lower or higher than the skin surface). How to use Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Apply the gel to the skin several times a day and gently massage into the scar tissue until the gel is completely absorbed. In case of old hard scars, the gel can also be applied overnight and covered with a bandage. Treatment can last several weeks or months, depending on the size of the scar or contracture. In the case of fresh wounds, avoid physical irritants, such as extreme cold, ultraviolet radiation, or vigorous massage. Used in children When used in children 1 year of age or older, it is recommended that the gel be applied to the scar tissue once or twice daily. This medicine is not recommended for use in children under one year of age. If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
