Description

Fatlos is a medicine used to treat obesity, including weight loss and weight maintenance when used with a low-calorie diet. It is also used to reduce the chance of gaining weight back after losing it. Fatlos prevents the absorption of 25-30% of dietary fat by reversible inhibition of gastrointestinal lipase. It exerts its therapeutic activity in the lumen of the stomach and small intestine. How to use If you skip a meal or eat a meal that does not contain any fat, skip your dose for that meal. You may need to take vitamin and mineral supplements while taking this medication. Usual adult dose: One capsule orally three times daily with each main meal containing fat. The dose may be taken during the meal or within one hour after finishing the meal. Usual dosage for children: 12 years or older: One capsule orally three times daily with each main meal containing fat. The dose may be taken during the meal or within one hour after finishing the meal. Warnings and precautions Do not take orlistat if you are pregnant. You should not use this medicine if you have a digestive disorder. Do not use if you have gallbladder problems. Do not use if you have had an organ transplant. Do not use with cyclosporine.
